sports clubs

The residents of Delamere Park have exclusive access to the wide range of sports and leisure facilities available on the Park and can participate on a casual basis with friends and family. Bookings can be made at reception from 14:00 to 22:00 every day

However for those residents who prefer a more structured approach, the Park is well served by a range of clubs providing opportunities to improve not only their health and fitness but also their skills in a range of sports.

Sports and Leisure Association has recently been established to provide a range of opportunities initially for younger residents and this will complement the more established groups offering opportunities in squash, tennis and water based activities.

Proposed New Activities

Delamere Park Cricket Team

Calling all Freddie Flintoff‘s !!!

A few years ago, Delamere Park was home to a very successful cricket section and the Sports and Leisure Association is very keen to try to rekindle an interest in cricket and resurrect the team with a view to playing a handful of 20/20 style friendly matches on weekday evenings during the summer months.

We have kindly been offered the use of Kingsley Cricket Club’s ground and are now looking to raise a team! Whilst it aims to be very much a social side we would be particularly keen to encourage participation from young people along with a few experienced ‘old hands’. We would also be delighted to welcome back former players who may be interested in donning their whites once again.

To get the ball rolling, there will be a practice session for all those interested in taking part on Tuesday 24 April starting 6.15pm at the cricket net next to the tennis courts.

Matches will take place during May/June/July.

For further information please contact Robin Calvert.

Bridge

We have the go ahead to start the proposed Bridge Class.  The class will be in The Lodge on Tuesday evenings starting at 7pm.  The opening meeting will be on Tuesday 24th April and I look forward to seeing all those who expressed an interest.  The "list" is not closed so if there are any other residents who would like to learn to play Bridge, please turn up on that evening.

If you have any questions please telephone Leo.

Contact

If anyone has an interest which they wish to develop or are able to offer their time and skills to provide additional opportunities for other residents please contact sport@delamerepark.co.uk or leave details at reception.
